With the introduction of GP2GP transfer and in preparation for sharing electronic healthcare records (EHRs), it has become increasingly important that your data is as robust as possible: poor data is worse than no data. High quality data also helps you achieve maximum QOF points.
The workshop allows delegates to participate in group discussions, explore real life scenarios and learn ways to improve the quality of data within a patient medical record using the EMIS clinical system which can then be implemented at the practice.
Throughout the day you will participate in group discussions, explore real-life scenarios and learn ways to improve data quality which can then be implemented at your own practice.

An audit produces numbers showing the occurrence of characteristics for a pre-defined sector of the practice population. For example, an audit of referrals for your practice population shows either the number of referrals, or the number of patients that have had a referral, rather than the names of patients who have had a referral.
This course is designed to provide training for practice staff to enable them to build and edit audits.
By the end of this course delegates will be able to:
This course is aimed at members of staff who need to obtain audit data from the EMIS system, for example practice managers, IT managers, doctors, nurses or administration staff. Delegates should have knowledge of the EMIS LV system, including patient searches.
