EMIS Web Learning Opportunities

This page outlines the learning opportunities for EMIS Web and how to access them.

1. Free live online EMIS Web sessions

Click here for information about live EMIS Web online training. See what sessions we have scheduled and then click links to request a place on the one you want. You must belong to an organisation which is running EMIS software to take part in these sessions.

These are online training sessions, so all you need is a PC with Internet access and a telephone and you can attend from your own desk or even at home.

If you cannot attend a live session, you and your colleagues can watch any or all of our recordings. Click here to request access to the recordings. This creates an email requesting instructions and password for the recordings. This service is designed to help train the staff who are unable to attend the live sessions.

3. E-learning tools

These are interactive tools. You go through the whole process as if you were working on the real system. Currently there are over 60 but more are being added every week.

  1. Login to the emis-online common room and select Library > Knowledge Base from the menu.
  2. Then select e-learning tools from the Document Type search field.

5. Users guides

Access these as you would for the e-learning tools except search for user guides. Click here to go to a list of user guides listed by module.

6. System Help

EMIS Web has a full help system built into the software. Just press the F1 key at any time. Click here to watch a video showing you how to get the best out of the system help.

7. Modular search for documents

  1. Login to the emis-online common room
  2. Click the Upgrading to EMIS Web banner
  3. Click the More e-learning tools link on the right
  4. Click the + symbol to the left of the module you are interested in
  5. Click the sub-module title
  6. The available e-learning tools (ELxxx), training handouts (THxxx) and user guides (UGxxx) are list alphabetically by reference on the right of the screen
