During our live online sessions (all lasting approximately 45 minutes), an experienced EMIS trainer will take you through relevant aspects of the system. There will be a Q&A session at the end where you can type any questions you have about the subjects covered.
All you need is a PC with good internet access (broadband or N3) and a telephone (dialling in with a speakerphone will allow others in the practice to listen too). Or, you can pick up the audio using computer headphones or speakers. You get the choice once you are logged into the session.
Just click the title in the list below to go to the description of the session where you will also be able to book a place.

Introducing Protocols, Concepts and Templates, how they are being used in practices
A patient arrives for their contraception, on the point of issue EMIS Web checks whether they have received LARC advice recently and if not prints off an advice LARC sheet and adds the relevant LARC code to the patient record. From one click of a mouse a patient has received their medication and advice and the practice have met their QOF requirements. A practice recently configured EMIS Web to do this using the protocols and concepts functions. This session will show you how they did it and demonstrate other building blocks available to help you automate your procedures.

Daily Tasks in Workflow Manager
We all have daily duties to perform; Registrations, Deductions, GP2GP, EPS, Prescription Requests, Test Requests, Lab Reports, Discharge Letters and Referrals on top of the ironing! In EMIS Web these (with the exception of ironing) are all processed through one module - Workflow Manager. A taskbar throughout EMIS Web notifies staff of their items to complete and they can enable deputies to help them. An alert process can be configured so that items are not missed if somebody is absent and each item has an audit trail behind it. On top of these activities you can also send tasks between staff. Once completed they remain in the patient record history.
