Training for Connecting for Health Modules
Training for Connecting for Health Modules This section includes our learning opportunities for the software relating to Connecting for Health projects.
Choose and Book (CAB) - System Specific On-site Training The training session is suitable for practices that are already familiar with the Choose and Book (CAB) software. It covers EMIS integration with CAB for GPs and administration staff in the practice and looks at any changes required to workflows. Note: Training only covers the EMIS side of CAB.
This is a three hour (half day) session.

The GP2GP function for EMIS LV enables you to exchange electronic patient records securely between practices. Using GP2GP to transfer records to and from your practice, you do not have to wait for paper records to be sent by post, or spend time inputting patient data. This training enables delegates to use EMIS LV GP2GP version 1.1 for the transfer of patient records.
On successful completion delegates will be:
This is a full day (six hour session) and training will cover the various aspects and subsidiary effects of the GP2GP module. Training is delivered to a maximum of four delegates per session and complemented with relevant training handouts and course notes.
In addition, a specially designed e-learning tool enables delegates to see and use simulations of the GP2GP software.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is the second stage of the National Programme for IT (NPFIT) following Choose and Book. Whilst there should be no huge impact to practices, there have been some slight changes made within the software. To help sites and save them time, EMIS are offering EPS awareness sessions to explain in a group session what the changes are and how they may affect the practice. The training provides a good basic knowledge of EPS and gives practices the opportunity to ask questions and clear up any concerns or issues they may have on changes required in the practice.
